White Label Branding for Resellers
What White Label Branding Means
White label branding allows you to present your reseller hosting business as entirely your own, with no visible reference to the infrastructure provider behind it. Your clients see your company name, your logo, and your support contact details throughout their entire hosting experience.
If you have not yet read Getting Started with Linux and Windows Reseller Plans, it covers the basics of setting up your reseller account before branding it.
What You Can Customize
Most reseller platforms allow you to replace the control panel's visible branding with your own logo and color scheme, set your own company name across client facing communications and invoices, use your own domain name for the control panel login rather than a generic hosting provider address, and configure your own support contact details so clients reach you directly rather than the underlying infrastructure provider.
Setting Up Your Branding
Branding configuration is typically handled through your reseller master control panel, where you upload your logo, set your color preferences, and configure your custom login domain. Once configured, this branding applies automatically across every client account you create going forward.
Custom Nameservers
For a fully white labeled experience, many resellers also set up custom nameservers using their own domain name, rather than pointing clients to the underlying provider's default nameservers. This is a more advanced step and typically involves registering nameserver records with your domain registrar in addition to your reseller control panel configuration.
Communicating With Your Clients
Even with full white label branding in place, it is worth being transparent with your own clients about the level of support you personally provide versus what is escalated to your hosting provider behind the scenes, particularly for more technical issues. This keeps expectations clear without necessarily requiring you to disclose your specific infrastructure provider.
